About the role:
As a Test Automation Engineer Intern at TQL, you won’t just be observing — you’ll be contributing directly to the quality and reliability of the technology that supports one of the largest freight brokers in the U.S. You’ll work alongside Test Automation Engineers, Software Quality Engineers, and Developers to support automated testing efforts across modern applications. From building automated tests to analyzing results, your work will help ensure high‑quality software delivery while you develop foundational skills in test automation and quality engineering.

What you’ll be doing:
- Assist with creating and maintaining automated test scripts for web and API applications
- Execute automated test runs and help analyze results and failures
- Support Test Automation Engineers in expanding automated test coverage
- Learn and follow test automation standards and best practices
- Assist with test data setup and basic SQL queries as needed
- Collaborate with Software Quality Engineers and Developers to support quality releases
- Participate in agile ceremonies such as stand‑ups, sprint reviews, and demos
- Gain hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery tools
What you need:
- Current student graduating between December 2026 – May 2027
- Pursuing a degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field
- Interest in software testing, quality engineering, or test automation
- Basic programming experience in a language such as C#, Java, Python, or JavaScript
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively on a team
- Curiosity, eagerness to learn, and a willingness to ask questions
