About the role:

As a Data Analyst II, you will build scalable reports, visualizations, and models to uncover insights and drive business decisions. This role will help identify and resolve issues with existing reports and discover future solutions utilizing industry-leading technologies. Additionally, this role will collaborate on large-scale operational questions with an analytical mindset to help the business make informed decisions.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Conduct exploratory data analysis using summary statistics and time series analysis to identify trends and patterns in historical data.
  • Apply hypothesis testing and correlation analysis to uncover the causes of observed trends and relationships between key metrics.
  • Develop and refine predictive models using machine learning algorithms and regression techniques such as multiple linear regression to forecast future outcomes.
  • Leverage your understanding of the business requirements to make well informed decisions and consult on data needs as they arise from business partners.
  • Train other Junior analysts in their daily job functions to grow their technical proficiency.
  • Develop and maintain data visualizations that effectively communicate insights and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Create and maintain scalable reports and dashboards using business intelligence tools to present data insights to stakeholders.
  • Take ownership of reporting projects from inception to completion by providing follow-up communication and deliverables until requirements are met.
  • Working on multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of documentation. 
  • Work within the Jira suite of tools including Jira Service Desk, Jira for Software Applications, and Jira Confluence. 

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics, or related field; master’s degree preferred
  • 2 years’ experience with a programming language commonly used in data analysis required, such as Python or R.
  • 2 years’ experience using SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) or other Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) required, such as MySQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL
  • Exposure to data modeling with Star and Snowflake schemas.
  • 2 years’ experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools required, such as Tableau, Qlik, Matplotlib, Seaborn, Shiny, ggplot2, Anaconda, etc.
  • Experience with Cloud computing platforms such as Databricks, Microsoft Azure, or AWS
  • Experience with database concepts such as Normalization, Entity Relationship Diagrams, and Row Level Security (RLS)
  • Experience using statistically applied techniques, such as regression analysis, classification, clustering, or hypothesis testing.
  • Exceptional aptitude for applied mathematics disciplines like Statistics, Linear Regressions, and/or Predictive and Descriptive Analytics.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to learn and utilize new analytic platforms and programming languages.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment effectively manage time constraints, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently to solve problems under minimal supervision.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail and accuracy.
  • A willingness to help teach and develop others.
  • Maintains quality and high standards in all deliverables.
