TQL’s purchasing department is the behind-the-scenes team that keeps our entire company functioning. Ultimately, this department is driving results by lowering company costs, improving supplier performance and continually improving the process and service for the betterment of TQL. As a Strategic Sourcing Specialist, you’ll be responsible for partnering with internal stakeholders to lead and manage the RFx processes and develop sourcing strategies that meet our current and future business needs.

Partner with internal stakeholders to develop and lead the RFx process end-to-end
Develop and execute strategies, policies and practices directed at improving customer service and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
Identify, vet, and select suppliers
Conduct supplier pricing and contract negotiations
Oversee supplier implementation as well as ensuring suppliers uphold established performance standards
Help reduce company costs and exposure through opportunity identification, negotiations, and analysis
Research and understand industry trends by proactively consulting with internal stakeholders on their current and future needs
Assist in developing SLA’s and supplier KPI’s
Provide strong project management leadership
Compile inventory reports for review and analysis
Perform multiple projects in rapidly changing and fast-paced environment
You need the following:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, purchasing or related area
3+ years of experience in purchasing
Strong interpersonal skills to interact with numerous departments and leaders within TQL
Proven experience with Microsoft Excel including the ability to perform advanced analysis, formulas, data capture, charts, graphs and presentations
Excellent mathematical and analytical abilities
